ABOUT︎
Sarina Freda is best described as ‘User-Friendly.’ She’s originally from Los Angeles and is currently living in Brooklyn, New York.
Together, she and Tom Costello created a one-woman show: no no no please no god no, nevermind i’m fine which debuted at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2024 and ran at HERE Arts in spring 2025. The show received much acclaim and all their press can be found on this site.
She has worked on several new plays with: Seaview Productions, New York Theater Workshop, The O'Neill Center, Page73, Clubbed Thumb, The Playwrights Realm, New Georges, Mercury Store, and more.
In spring 2025, she played Gwen in Lobster, which was named one of the best plays of 2025 by Vulture/New York Magazine (Sara Holdren) and The New Yorker (Helen Shaw).
She stars in Henry Ainsworth’s forthcoming feature film Turtle Bay, and Isabella Garcia’s (Square Peg) short film In Her You’ll Find Sanctuary, executive produced by Lilly Wachowski.
The late Diane Ladd (BAFTA Winner and 3x Academy Award Nominee) closely mentored Sarina for many years. Their bond remains one of the most important aspects of her artistry.
Graduate of NYU Tisch School of the Arts
She loves to swim. She loves to dance. She has plans to buy a house in Italy for a single euro. And her passion project is finding inner peace.
